The Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills meet Christmas Eve afternoon in a AFC East NFL matchup at New Era Field.
The Miami Dolphins look for their 10th victory of the season to remain in the AFC playoff race. The Miami Dolphins have not won double-digit games since the 2008 NFL season. Matt Moore is completing 65.2 percent of his passes for 283 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Moore has four touchdown passes on 23 pass attempts this season. Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills have combined for 1,681 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns while DeVante Parker has 47 receptions. The Buffalo Bills look to play spoiler and get a game above a .500 record. The Buffalo Bills have won four of their last six home games. Tyrod Taylor is completing 61.2 percent of his passes for 2,694 yards, 14 touchdowns and six interceptions. Taylor has one or less touchdown pass in seven of his last eight games. Robert Woods and Charles Clay have combined for 974 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Marquise Goodwin has 27 receptions. The Buffalo Bills ground game is averaging 163.6 yards per contest, and LeSean McCoy leads the way with 1,129 yards and 12 touchdowns. Defensively, Buffalo is allowing 22.4 points and 349.2 yards per game. Zach Brown leads the Buffalo Bills with 130 tackles, Lorenzo Alexander has 11.5 sacks and Stephon Gilmore has five interceptions.
The Dolphins are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. AFC and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games overall. The Bills are 0-4 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Dolphins are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 meetings in Buffalo and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 meetings overall.
I'm really confused with this line, as the Buffalo Bills aren't a good football team and aren't really playing for anything at this point. Meanwhile, the Miami Dolphins continue to find ways to win games and can get one step closer to clinching the sixth seed with a victory. Also, even with Moore at quarterback, you can see the Dolphins are oozing with confidence, and they won't be afraid of the Bills considering they manhandled them already this season when Ajayi rushed for 214 yards. I just don't get the Bills being this big of a favorite or a favorite at all against one of the hotter teams in all of the NFL.
I'll take my four points with Miami, but I doubt we'll need them.
