The Buffalo Bills look to keep their faint playoff hopes alive as they welcome the Miami Dolphins on Saturday in an AFC East show down.
The Dolphins look to build on their big win last week and finish off their last two games with some momemtum with a potential playoff spot lingering as they are 9-5 on the season and are right in the mix for an AFC wild card spot. Miami is without Ryan Tannehill but career backup Matt Moore played very well last week against the New York Jets and he will have to be sharp on the road against a very good Bills defense that is playing for their season and head coach Rex Ryan likely playing for his job. Miami’s front seven is very imposing and will need to have a very strong game if they’re going to keep the Buffalo running attack in check and while Lesean McCoy gets most of the work they will have to watch out for Tyrod Taylor as well as he brings an added dimension with his legs that very few quarterbacks possess.
The Bills have their backs against the wall and will likely need to win out to even have a shot at a wild card spot but they are in a decent position here at home against their bitter AFC East rivals in the annual “Squish the Fish” game. Buffalo has been very inconsistent this season and have lost a couple of heartbreaking games that would have propelled them into the race for the division had they been on the right side of them, but as it stands they are 7-7 and have a tough schedule to close out and the likelihood of them ending their playoff drought looks bleak. Buffalo has been a very tough team at home over the years and in a divisional show down you can bet Bills Mafia will be out in full force to help their team keep their season alive.
The Dolphins are 5-1 ATS in their last six against the AFC and 7-2 ATS in their last nine overall while the Bills are 2-5 ATS in their last seven against the AFC and 0-4 ATS against a team with a winning record. The Bills are getting a ton of love here and are banking on the run game to lift them to a win, but the Dolphins are playing well and have the better record and in a divisional game I will grab these points.
