The lone NFL preseason game on Friday in week two pits the Minnesota Vikings against the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field.

The Minnesota Vikings will be looking to build on an opening week 17-10 victory over the Buffalo Bills. Case Keenum saw the bulk of the workload trying to start fresh with his new team, completing 11 of 16 pass attempts for 121 yards. Sam Bradford went 5 for 7 with 35 yards while Taylor Heinicke completed 3 passes for a touchdown that was negated by an interception. Terrell Newby saw the bulk of the workload, taking 12 carries for 26 yards. Former Titans running back put up 14 yards on 4 carries while 2nd round pick Dalvin Cook put up 13 yards with his 5 touches out of the backfield. C.J. Ham may have only put up 5 yards, but made the most of it putting up a touchdown in the win. Cook also caught 4 balls out of the backfield for 30 yards, while Stacy Coley notched 3 catches for a team-high 67 yards. Jaleel Johnson, Everson Griffen and Tashawn Bower each put up a sack while Elijah Lee recovered a fumble as the Vikes allowed 309 yards of total offense in the winning effort.

The Seattle Seahawks closed out week one of the preseason with the best team performance, taking it to the L.A. Chargers by a final score of 48-17, including 24 points in the 2nd quarter. Russell Wilson’s limited action saw him complete 3 of 4 pass attempts for 41 yards, while Trevone Boykin led the team with 189 yards passing on 12 of 15 through the air with a touchdown and an interception. Austin Davis made the most of his time as well, going 7 of 9 for 108 yards. Mike Davis led the team in rushing with 33 yards on 8 carries, while Chris Carson came 2nd with 7 carries but racked up a pair of touchdowns. Boykin added to his reputation as a dual threat QB, running the ball 4 times for 31 yards and a touchdown as well. Kasen Williams led the team with 4 catches for 119 yards, while Tre Madden hauled in his lone reception for 51 yards. The Seahawks did a great job spreading the ball around, as the Seahawks had 12 different receivers record a catch. Pierre Desir, Christian French and David Bass combined for 2.5 sacks while it was French that recorded a pair of fumble recoveries. Terence Garvin and Jordan Roos each caught a pick as the Seahawks allowed the Chargers to rack up 322 yards even in the blowout fashion.

Minnesota is 38-17 ATS in their last 55 games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games while the under is 10-4 in their last 14 games against the AFC. Seattle is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games on turf while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 games against the NFC. The home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.

Both of these teams had some solid outings, and weren’t separated by much in terms of defense, but if Seattle’s offense can carry over to this one, I like the Seahawks to win another one.
