The Arizona Cardinals look for a big road victory as they head into Philadelphia to square off against the Eagles on Sunday.
The Cardinals scored a huge overtime victory last weekend thanks to a catch in the endzone from Larry Fitzgerald and they will be out for another this week as they take on the upstart Philadelphia Eagles who are looking like a very strong contender in the NFC East. Arizona was the league’s biggest disappointment from a season ago as many had them pegged for a Super Bowl run but instead they fell flat and weren’t even close to a playoff position and this season they have struggled to find consistency and they will be without their best player in David Johnson for most of the season, if not the entire thing. Arizona does have a nice secondary though and will look to keep the Eagles offense in check that has looked very good to start the season thanks in large part to sophomore quarterback Carson Wentz.

The Eagles meanwhile are hoping a home date with Carson Palmer and company is an invitation to keep their winning ways afloat and with the way they have been playing of late it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see them run away with this one. Wentz has looked impressive and is certainly the quarterback of the future in Philly and while they are without Darren Sproles I think the tandem of LeGarrette Blount and Wendell Smallwood are capable of keeping the ground game moving as teams will be focused on the passing game as guys like Alshon Jeffery and Zach Ertz are more than viable game changers.
The Cards are winless in their last four games after failing to cover the week before and 0-4 ATS in their last four overall while the Eagles are 4-1 in their last five ATS in week five and 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall. The line here is moving in Philadelphia’s favour but to me it is going the wrong way as this figures to be a close contest and with the final possession coming into play I think Arizona can keep this one within a touchdown
