The Houston Texans look for back-to-back victories to get a game above a .500 record. The Houston Texans have won eight of their last 10 home games. Deshaun Watson is completing 64.9 percent of his passes for 811 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions. Watson has a combined six touchdown passes in his last two games. The Chiefs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. AFC, 13-3 ATS in their last 16 road games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Texans are 1-11 ATS in their last 12 games in Week 5, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. The over is 11-2 in Texans last 13 games in October and the over is 5-2 in Chiefs last 7 games overall.
The Kansas City Chiefs have been the most impressive team in the league in the first month, but they're playing this game on short rest and are banged up quite heavily on the offensive line. Eric Fisher has been dealing with back issues, Mitch Morse is out with a foot injury, Parker Ehinger has a knee issue and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif just suffered a knee injury that will keep him out. The interior of the Chiefs offensive line is struggling to hold up, and that will continue to be the case with Clowney and Watt pinning their ears back. The Texans are also playing great football right now, as Watson is coming into his own despite a lack of experience, and they've produced a combined 90 points in their last two games. The NRG Stadium is going to be jacked up for this one. I'm buying into the Texans right now, especially in this spot based on the Chiefs injury issues. Texans win this game ouright.
