The Los Angeles Rams and the New York Giants face off in week 9 NFL action from MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Los Angeles Rams enjoyed a bye week in week 8, but will come into this one looking to build on back-to-back wins following a 33-0 dismantling of Arizona last time out. Jared Goff threw for 235 yards, a touchdown and an interception on 22 of 37 passing while also rushing for a score on the ground as well. Todd Gurley II led the team with 22 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown, while Robert Woods led the Rams with 5 catches for 59 yards. Cooper Kupp hauled in 4 balls for 51 yards and a TD, while the aforementioned Gurley II caught 4 passes of his own out of the backfield for L.A. Defensively, the Rams combined for 3 sacks, a pair of interceptions and a forced fumble, all while holding Arizona to just 196 yards of total offense, a 3 for 12 mark on 3rd down and 10 first downs in the win.

The New York Giants also enjoyed their bye week in week 8, and will look to hopefully start a season turnaround after falling to 1-6 with a 24-7 loss to the Seahawks in week 7. Eli Manning completed 19 of his 39 pass attempts for 134 yards and a touchdown, while the G-Men as a team combined to rush for 46 yards on 17 carries. Evan Engram led the team with 6 catches for 60 yards and a TD, while Travis Rudolph and Orleans Darkwa each hauled in 3 passes in the loss. Defensively, a Nat Berhe sack and an Avery Moss forced fumble that Landon Collins recovered, were the lone highlights as the Giants allowed Seattle to rack up 425 yards of total offense with over 35 minutes of possession in the loss.
Los Angeles is 2-10-1 ATS in their last 13 games against the NFC and 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games following a bye week while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 games against a team with a losing record. New York is 5-12-1 ATS in their last 18 games following a bye week and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games against a team with a winning road record while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 home games. Los Angeles is 0-8 ATS in the last 8 meetings between these two teams.
The Giants have used the Rams as a punching bag over the last few seasons, but this is easily one of the Worst Giants teams and one of the better Rams teams we have seen in quite some time. I can’t back the Giants here even at home as I think the Rams just have too much going for them, and the line is more than reasonable, so I’ll lay the points with the Rams here.
