The New Orleans Saints and the Buffalo Bills square off in week 10 NFL action from New Era Field in Orchard Park, NY on Sunday afternoon.
The New Orleans Saints will look to stay hot after winning their 6th in a row, a 30-10 victory over Tampa Bay in their last outing to improve to 6-2 this season. Drew Brees completed 22 of his 27 pass attempts for 263 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Mark Ingram led the New Orleans ground attack with 77 rushing yards on 16 carries. Alvin Kamara added 68 rushing yards and a TD of his own on 10 carries, while also leading the Saints in receiving with 85 yards and a touchdown on 6 catches. Michael Thomas caught a team-high 8 passes for 65 yards, while Ted Ginn Jr. added 4 catches for 59 yards and a touchdown as well. Defensively, the Saints combined for 4 sacks and a forced fumble, which they also recovered, while suffocating the Tampa Bay offense to the tune of 200 yards of total offense and a 4 for 13 mark on 3rd down in the win.
The Buffalo Bills will look to bounce back after kicking off week 9 with a 34-21 loss to the Jets on Thursday Night Football. Tyrod Taylor threw for 285 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 29 of 40 passing, while also leading the Bills on the ground with 35 rushing yards and a rushing TD on 6 carries. LeSean McCoy added 25 rushing yards on 12 carries, while Deonte Thompson led the Bills with 7 catches for 81 yards and a touchdown. Zay Jones added 6 catches for 53 yards and a touchdown of his own, while Nick O’Leary contributed 51 yards and Jordan Matthews hauled in 6 passes of his own in the loss. Defensively, a Cedric Thornton sack was the lone individual highlight as the Bills allowed 331 yards of total offense in the loss.
New Orleans is 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games following a win and 12-2 ATS in their last 14 road games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. Buffalo is 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 home games and 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall while the over is 8-2 in their last 10 games following a loss. New Orleans is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two teams.
Buffalo comes in as the more rested team here, but they didn’t look great against the Jets and now have to go up against one of the best offenses in the league that’s on fire winning 6 straight. The Saints have killed the spread when following up a win and have garnered the reputation of road warriors over the last year and a half, so I’ll lay the field goal with New Orleans here.
