The Cleveland Browns look for their first victory of the season as they head into Cincinnati to battle the Bengals in an AFC North division show down.
The Browns look to break the goose egg and tick one in the win column on the road against an in-state and division rival as they take on a Cincinnati Bengals side that struggled to start the season but it is looking much better now and could make a late season push at the playoffs in the AFC. Cleveland came into the season in line for another bottom feeding performance from most prognosticators and so far they have lived up to the bill as they have had issues on both sides of the football and look as though they should have another top end draft pick in the offseason. Cleveland has been dreadful both at home and on the road but their mark against the spread is even still a cause for concern as they are a woeful 3-13 against divisional opponents against the number in their last 16 outings and with this one being in Cincinnati with the Bengals needing a victory in order to keep their playoff hopes intact I don’t see this being a fun afternoon for the Browns or their fans in attendance.

The Bengals meanwhile made some early season mistakes and as such are playing catch up in the AFC North and the conference wild card picture but they are capable of closing the gap as they strong on both sides of the football and have a very favourable matchup this weekend. Cincy made some changes in terms of coaching personnel and the move has paid off for Andy Dalton who has looked much better behind center over the last month and a half and with AJ Green, Joe Mixon, and Tyler Kroft at his disposal and a defense that can get pressure on the QB and cover receiving threats down field this is a team that should be on high alert from the rest of the AFC contenders for the final playoff spots.
The Browns are 6-19-1 in their last 26 ATS against the AFC and 0-6 ATS in their last six games following a loss while the Bengals are 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine following a win and 12-5 ATS in their last 17 ATS against a team with a losing record. Cleveland is a mess and while they may very well win a game and avoid a winless season I don’t see it happening here as this is a must win for the Bengals and they leave no doubt with a double digit victory.
