The Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars duke it out in an AFC South showdown in week 13 NFL action.
The Indianapolis Colts will try to win out to finish no worse than .500, but it’ll be difficult after back-to-back losses, including a 20-16 loss to the Titans in their last outing to send the Colts to 3-8 on the year. Jacoby Brissett threw for 196 yards on 17 of 29 passing, while Frank Gore rushed for a team-high 62 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Jack Doyle caught 7 passes for 94 yards, while Chester Rogers added 3 catches for 34 yards, and after Rogers, no other Colt caught more than 2 passes, or logged more than 20 receiving yards in the loss. Defensively, the Colts combined for a pair of interceptions while holding the Titans to 276 yards of total offense in the loss.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will try to bounce back from a heartbreaking 27-24 loss to Arizona, snapping a 4 game winning streak in the process. Blake Bortles threw for 160 yards and an interception on 19 of 33 passing, while also leading the Jags in rushing with 6 rushed for 62 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Leonard Fournette took his team-high 12 carries and turned them into 25 yards, while T.J. Yeldon logged a team-high 42 receiving yards and Dede Westbrook caught a team-high 6 passes for 41 yards. The Jags defense combined for a sack, an interception and a forced fumble that Calais Campbell returned 10 yards for a touchdown to open the scoring in the 4th quarter. All while giving up 344 yards of total offense to the Cardinals in the losing effort.
Indianapolis is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 division matchups and 32-12 ATS in their last 44 games following a loss while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. Jacksonville is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a loss and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 division matchups while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. Indianapolis is 0-5 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.
This looks like a lot of points considering that the Jaguars lost to Arizona last time out, a game they should’ve, by all intents and purposes, won even on the road. However, let’s not forget that these same Jaguars not only beat, but shut out these same Colts 27-0 just a few weeks ago, and that was in Indianapolis. I’m not sure we see another shutout, but I think double digits is more than reasonable for Jacksonville considering that the Colts have had no success ATS against Jacksonville the last couple of seasons, and have appeared to have given up on this year. Give me the Jags and lay the points here.
