The Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars meet Sunday in NFL action at EverBank Field.
The Indianapolis Colts could use a feel good victory here after losing five of their last six games. The Indianapolis Colts have lost four of their last five road games. Jacoby Brissett is completing 60.7 percent of his passes for 2,368 yards, nine touchdowns and five interceptions. Brissett has four touchdown passes and one interception in his last three games. T.Y. Hilton and Jack Doyle have combined for 1,284 receiving yards and five touchdowns while Donte Moncrief has 21 receptions. Defensively, Indianapolis is allowing 27.3 points and 375.8 yards per game. The Jacksonville Jaguars look for another win after winning five of their last seven games to keep their lead in the AFC South. The Jacksonville Jaguars have won three of their last four home games. Blake Bortles is completing 58.3 percent of his passes for 2,244 yards, 12 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Bortles has one or less touchdown passes in eight straight games. The Jaguars are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. AFC and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. AFC South. The Colts are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 meetings, the favorite is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 meetings and the under is 10-3 in the last 13 meetings.
I know the first meeting between these teams resulted in a 27-0 blowout, but the Jacksonville Jaguars aren't the type of team you want to lay big numbers with often. The Jags are an old school team that relies on defense and running the ball, winning close and ugly. In fact, five of the Jaguars last eight games have resulted in a loss or a victory by 12 or less points. Jacksonville just lost on the road to a bad Arizona team despite being 4.5 point favotires, and they needed overtime to beat the Chargers in their last home game. The Colts have had a lot of bad beats, and four of their last seven losses have been decided by four or less points. You can say what you want about Indianapolis, but it's a team that competes each week and has chances to win football games. I just don't understand the Jagaurs getting this much love. Give me the points.
