Down at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday, the Denver Broncos and the Miami Dolphins will be matching up in AFC NFL action.
Denver comes into this game with a 3-8 record. The Broncos are sitting on a seven-game losing streak, falling to the Patriots, Bengals and Raiders in their last three games. In that Oakland game, Broncos QB Trevor Siemian put up 149 yards and two TDs.
On the season, Siemian has 1818 yards, 11 TDs and 10 picks, and CJ Anderson is the top Broncos rusher with 585 yards and two scores off 144 totes. Heading up the Denver receivers is Demaryius Thomas, with 651 yards and three scores from 58 catches.
Over on the Miami side, they’re sitting at 4-7 so far. The Dolphins have lost five in a row, falling to Carolina, Tampa and New England in their last trio. In that Pats game, Dolphins QB Matt Moore put up 215 yards, one TD and two INTs.
Jay Cutler leads the Dolphins in passing with 1602 yards, 13 TDs and nine INTs, and Kenyan Drake has 200 yards and one TD on 42 carries. Jarvis Landry is the leading Miami receiver with 637 yards and six TDs from 75 receptions.
The Broncos are 4-0 ATS in their last four games in Week 13 and 1-4 ATS in their last five games in December. Denver is also 0-6 ATS in their last six games following a straight up loss and 0-7 ATS in their last seven road games.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games in Week 13 and 8-20-1 ATS in their last 29 games following an ATS loss. Miami is also 3-12 ATS in their last 15 December games and 0-4-1 ATS versus a team with a losing record.
Denver has been pretty miserable lately. During this losing streak, they’ve scored more than 19 points just once and gave up 92 points in a stretch of two games. Miami, meanwhile, has been shredded by injuries to key guys, and they haven’t scored more than 24 points during this losing streak. This should be a sloppy game, but all in all I like the Dolphins to win here.
