The West Coast meets the Midwest on Sunday from Soldier Field, as the San Francisco 49ers visit the Chicago Bears in Week 13 NFL action.
San Francisco stumbles into this one at 1-10 on the year. The 49ers started things out with 10 straight losses, but beat the Giants three weeks ago for their first victory. In a loss against Seattle last week, 49ers QB CJ Beathard managed 201 yards and an INT.

So far this year, Beathard has 1430 yards with four TDs and six picks, and Carlos Hyde is the top Niners rusher on 639 yards and four TDs. Marquise Goodwin heads up the San Fran receiving corps with 578 yards and one TD from 27 catches.
Over on the Bears’ side, they’re currently 3-8 on the season. Chicago has lost their last four straight to the Saints, Packers, Lions and Eagles. In that Philly game, Bears QB Mitch Trubisky put up 147 yards and two picks.
On the season, Trubisky has 1135 yards with four TDs and four picks for Chicago. The Bears’ top rusher is Jordan Howard with 847 yards and five TDs, while, Kendall Wright leads the receivers with 345 yards and one TD from 31 catches.
The 49ers are 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games in Week 13 and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. San Francisco is also 1-4 ATS in their last five versus the NFC and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games in December.
Meanwhile, the Bears are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games in December. Chicago is also 1-9 ATS in the last 10 games in Week 13 and 0-3-1 ATS in their last four versus the NFC.
After showing a little flash against a bad Giants team, the 49ers went back to their old ways against Seattle. San Francisco has now scored 13 points or fewer in four of their last five games. As for Chicago, they can’t really get much going on offense these days, scoring 17 points or fewer in four of their last five. This will be something of an ugly game, but I think Chicago’s defense can keep them in there to cover.
