The Dallas Cowboys look to finish off their season with a divisional road win as they take on the top team in the NFC in the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
The Cowboys bowed out of playoff contention with a loss to the Seattle Seahawks and will look to take their frustrations out on an Eagles side that has clinched top spot in the NFC and could very well be resting most of their important names in this one. Dallas would love to finish their season with a bang but it could come at a cost in the form of a lower draft pick, and while that may not be on the minds of any of the current players it could be at the forefront of management and coaching staff, though I’m sure a one or two spot drop would be well worth the feeling of winning a road game against a bitter division rival. The Cowboys are slight road favourites in this spot as the odds makers are anticipating most of the Philly starters to be taking most of the game off, but either way the Cowboys might be a smart play regardless.

The Eagles have had a spectacular season and after a Christmas night victory against the Oakland Raiders they have clinched a first round bye and home field advantage throughout the playoffs and should be in a position to keep their players healthy this weekend. Philly is without Carson Wentz which will likely become an issue later this season as Nick Foles doesn’t look like the long term answer behind center and may not even be serviceable enough to send the Eagles into a deep playoff run. The Eagles are 8-1 in their last nine ATS on grass and are 1-4 ATS in their last five against the Cowboys and with this being a meaningless game that trend could continue in Dallas’ favour.
The Cowboys are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five against the NFC East while the Eagles are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games and 7-2 ATS in their last nine against the NFC. Dallas will finish off the season after this one and I expect they will leave it all on the line while Philly will get some rest and drop to 13-3 to finish the regular season.
