The Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints look to light up the score board as both sides play to their second preseason outing.

The Cardinals look to build on their 24-17 victory at home over the Los Angeles Chargers in their preseason opener last week as they take to the road to face off with a Saints side that outlasted the Jaguars by a 24-20 count last Thursday. Arizona comes into the season in a full rebuild as they have drafted Josh Rosen to be their quarterback of the future and will do their best to add some pieces around David Johnson who is coming off an injury that cost him most of last season. The Cards still have some nice pieces on defense, led by Patrick Peterson, but they are without Tyran Mathieu who fled to Houston after getting cut by the Cardinals and he won’t be an easy piece to replace.

The Saints meanwhile come in with the Lombardi Trophy in sight as they are one of the most explosive teams in the NFL, and while the offense is usually the talk of the town, the defense can’t be ignored. Marshon Lattimore is coming off a Defensive Rookie of the Year award last season and they continue to add play makers who should make a difference against the Cardinals and keep the Saints crowd happy. New Orleans is a 3.5-point favourite with the line staying firm throughout the week as the odds makers are anticipating this to be another lengthy battle of third string players, otherwise this line would be much more lopsided.

The Cards are 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games and have played to the over in 13 of their last 18 road games while the Saints have hit the over in four of their last five home games. New Orleans is the better team but the Cards have much more to play for and should be able to keep this one within a field goa
