The Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Ravens will be meeting up in NFL preseason activity on Thursday from M&T Bank Stadium.
The Redskins managed to go 7-9 last season, finishing in third place in the NFC East. After a .500 record going into the bye, the Redskins lost seven of their final 12 games in a rough schedule highlighted by injuries.

So far this year, the Redskins are 1-2 in the preseason, with a win over the Jets and losses to the Patriots and Broncos. In the Denver game, Redskins QB Kevin Hogan looked pretty good with a 7-of-9 line for 88 yards and two scored while Adrian Peterson managed 11 carries for 56 yards.
The Ravens posted a 9-7 record last season, but still didn’t manage to make the playoffs. This came down to the last week of the year, where they lost in shocking fashion to the rival Bengals on a last-second TD.
Baltimore is sitting at 4-0 this year in the preseason (including the Hall of Fame Game), taking out the Bears, Rams, Colts and Dolphins. In the Miami matchup, Ravens QB Lamar Jackson put up a 7-of-10 line for 98 yards and a TD; De’Lance Turner managed five carries for 75 yards on the ground.
The Redskins are 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games and the under is 4-0 in their last four games overall. The over is 6-1 in the Redskins’ last seven Thursday games and 10-3 in their last 13 road games.
Meanwhile, the Ravens are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four Thursday games and 2-6 ATS in their last seven home games. Baltimore is 2-6 ATS in their last eight games on turf and the over is 5-2 in their last seven games on turf.
Both these teams have some positive things to look forward to this season, and they may surprise some people with their final record at the end of the year. This will be a heavy dose of lower-depth-chart guys though, and in that vein I think the Ravens are stronger here.
