The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys meet Sunday in NFL action at AT&T Stadium.
The New York Giants need a statement win over a division rival to prevent their fifth 0-2 start to a season in the last six years. The New York Giants have lost each of their last four road games. Eli Manning is completing 62.2 percent of his passes for 224 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception. Manning has one or less touchdown passes in six of his last seven games. Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard have combined for 159 receiving yards on 16 receptions while Saquon Barkley has two receptions. The Dallas Cowboys need a victory here in order to prevent their first 0-2 start since the 2010 NFL season. The Dallas Cowboys have lost five of their last seven home games. Dak Prescott is completing 65.5 percent of his passes for 170 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions. Prescott has one or less touchdown passes in each of his last four games. The Giants are 2-5 ATS vs. a team with a losing record, 2-6 ATS in their last 8 vs. NFC and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games on fieldturf. The Cowboys are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. NFC East, 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games and 7-2-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. The Giants are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings and the under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings.
The Dallas Cowboys have been on the winning side in eight of the last 12 meetings against the New York Giants, so I guess there's reason to consider the Cowboys favorites here at home. However, I'm not impressed with the Cowboys and don't think Prescott has the goods to be the difference maker for an offense that lacks playmakers outside of Elliott. The New York Giants lost their opener, but they went toe-to-toe with the best defense in the league and had chances to win late. Against a questionable Dallas defense and playing indoors, the Giants should have much more consistent success. The Dallas Cowboys have failed to cover five of their last seven home games when favored by at least three points. I like the Giants to win this game outright, so I'm taking my free field goal. I'm just not high on the Cowboys at all.
