The Indianapolis Colts and the Washington Redskins will be meeting up in NFL Week 2 action Sunday from FedExField.

The Colts come into this one at 0-1 on the young season following a 34-23 loss to the Bengals. Indianapolis was up 23-17 heading into the fourth quarter, but then gave up 17 unanswered points to seal the defeat.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Colts QB Andrew Luck was a busy guy in Week 1, going 39-of-53 for 319 yards, two TDs and a pick, while Jordan Wilkins led a pretty meager running game with 40 yards. Jack Doyle was Indy’s top receiver on seven catches for 60 yards.

The Redskins are 1-0 coming into this one, as they went to Arizona and took a 24-6 victory. After a scoreless first quarter, the Redskins posted 21 points in the second and then added a field goal in the fourth.

Redskins QB Alex Smith posted a nice line in Week 1 with 255 yards and two TDs, with RB Adrian Peterson leading the pack on two catches for 70 yards. Peterson also led the Washington rush with 96 yards and a TD.

The Colts are 1-4 ATS in their last five games in Week 2 and 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall. Indianapolis is also 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games in September and 34-15 ATS in their last 49 games following a straight-up loss.

Meanwhile, the Redskins are 4-1 ATS in their last five games in September and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following an ATS win. Washington is 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a straight-up win and the under is 5-0 in their last five overall.

The Colts looked like they might be able to engineer a win in Week 1 for most of the game, but then fell apart late. The good news is that Luck looked pretty solid in his regular-season return. As for the Redskins, they’ve got a lot of new faces in the mix, but the early returns on their effectiveness look fairly good. The line on this game sounds about right; I expect the Redskins to win but not by much more than a TD. If you’re picking Washington like I am, do a little shopping around for the best odds you can find.
