The Tampa Bay Buccaneers look for another upset victory to start 2-0 for the first time since the 2010 season. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have lost four of their last six home games. Ryan Fitzpatrick is completing 75 percent of his passes for 417 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions. Fitzpatrick has two or more touchdown passes in three of his last six games. The Eagles are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games, 10-3 ATS in their last 13 vs. NFC and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Buccaneers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. NFC, 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games following a ATS win and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The road team is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings, the underdog is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings and the over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers victory over the New Orleans Saints was the most shocking thing to happen opening week and killed a ton of survivor leagues before they even started. However, I'm not ready to put my trust into Fitzpatrick and the Bucs just yet, as it takes more than one game for me to jump on a bandwagon. The Philadelphia Eagles are a much better defensive club than the Saints and showed against the Atlanta Falcons they can still win games despite poor QB play from Foles. The Eagles have also had extra time to prepare for this game given that they played last Thursday. Laying a field goal with the better, more rested team seems like the play here. I need to see more from the Buccaneers before backing them with any confidence.
