The San Francisco 49ers look for their first road win of the season as they head into Arizona to do battle with the Cardinals on Sunday.

The Niners head into Arizona for an NFC West division show down with the Cardinals as Kyle Shanahan and company aim for their first victory away from home this season and extend Arizona’s misery in the process. San Francisco has dealt with their fair share of misfortune this season as they have lost their starting quarterback and running back to season ending injuries but they have rallied behind former Iowa pivot CJ Beathard who will look to outclass the Cardinals on Sunday and snap their woes against NFC opponents. The Niners have dominated this series of late with a 9-3 mark ATS in their last 12 in Arizona and the road team has covered in 5 straight which would have them come away with a win if this trend continues.

The Cardinals meanwhile are coming off an absolute embarrassment last weekend as they were blown out at home on national television and that ultaimtely resulted in a coaching change as former Jaguars quarterback Byron Leftwich has taken over as the team’s new offensive coordinator. Arizona had been decently competitive before last week’s debacle but they are 6-2 in their last 8 ATS following a loss but their team is in shambles right now as they can’t get anything going on either side of the ball and now the face of their defense in Patrick Peterson has made it clear he wants out of town.

The Niners are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 against division opponents and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 against a team with a losing record while the Cards are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 against the NFC and 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 agains a team with a losing record. San Fran is in better shape right now and have more weapons to work with offensively but the play here is on the total as the defenses will be torched once again.
