The surging Seattle Seahawks look to earn another victory at home as they welcome the Los Angeles Chargers to town on Sunday.
The Chargers look for a statement road win against the Seahawks on Sunday and will turn to Phillip Rivers as usual behind center to lead the offense that has no shortages of weapons at their disposal. Los Angeles is still in contention for a playoff spot in the AFC and while they are likely to fall short of the Chiefs for top spot in the AFC West they would make for a very dangerous wild card team and would be a group that is capable of going on a deep playoff run with the weapons they have on both sides of the ball. The Chargers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in November but they have struggled against good teams as they are just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 contests against a team with a winning record.
The Seahawks meanwhile opened this week as a 2.5-point favourite against the Chargers but things have steamed towards a pick-em as money is pouring in on the Chargers and for good reason. Seattle has struggled to establish consistency on both sides of the ball this season and while they are trending upwards with a 4-3 record and are still very much in the NFC wild card discussion they are going to be in tough here against a very good Chargers team. Seattle will need Russell Wilson to have a strong effort as the offense runs through his arm and feet and with some speed on the Chargers front line he will be leaned on to extend plays with his athleticism.
The Chargers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 following a failure to cover and are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 following a bye week while the Seahawks are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 overall while the underdog is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 overall in this series. The money is in on the Chargers and while Seattle is always a tough out at home I like Los Angeles to get the win and be ready to go after a week off.
