The Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles will meet up on the NFL’s “Sunday Night Football” for a Week 10 rivalry game.
Dallas is sitting at 3-5 on the season. The Cowboys’ wins have come against the Giants, Lions and Jaguars, and they’ve lost to the Panthers, Seahawks, Texans, Redskins and Titans.
In the Tennessee game, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott put up 243 yards, two TDs and a pick, and Ezekiel Elliott logged 61 yards to lead the rush. Tops in receiving for Dallas was Amari Cooper with 58 yards and a TD on five catches.
Over on the Eagles’ side, they’re .500 so far with a 4-4 record overall. Philly has fallen to the Bucs, Titans, Vikings and Panthers but beaten the Falcons, Colts, Giants and Jags.
In the Jacksonville game, Eagles QB Carson Wentz put up 286 yards and three scores, with Josh Adams rushing for 61 yards. Jordan Matthews’ 93 yards on four grabs led the Philadelphia receivers.
The Cowboys are 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the NFC East. and 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 on grass. Dallas is 1-4 ATS in their last five in November and 1-4 ATS in their last five versus the NFC.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 following an ATS win and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 following a straight-up win. Philly is 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six on grass.
There’s not a lot of hope in Cowboys land these days, and rightfully so. Dallas got drilled by the normally plodding Titans, and has looked lost since that Jags upset.
The Eagles, however, seem to be on the upswing, and with a restocked lineup heading into the second half of the season, they’re a trendy pick to get hot late and take the division.
I’m going to say Philly’s road back to the playoffs starts here with a cover.
