The New York Giants and the Indianapolis Colts meet in week 16 NFL action from Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The New York Giants will look for a bounce-back performance after a 17-0 loss to the Tennessee Titans in their last outing. Eli Manning has thrown for 3,689 yards, 18 touchdowns and 9 interceptions on 65.9% passing while Saquon Barkley has rushed for 1,155 yards and 9 touchdowns this season. Odell Beckham Jr. leads the Giants with 1,052 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns while Sterling Shepard has 56 grabs for 692 yards and 4 touchdowns and the aforementioned Barkley has 82 receptions for 654 yards and 4 scores. Defensively, B.J. Hill leads Big Blue with 5 sacks while Olivier Vernon has 4.5 sacks and Landon Collins leads New York with 67 tackles this season. As a team, New York is averaging 347.4 yards of total offense and 21.9 points per game this season.

The Indianapolis Colts will look to keep up their momentum after winning 7 of their last 8 games after a 23-0 win over Dallas in their last outing. Andrew Luck has thrown for 3,951 yards, 34 touchdowns and 13 interceptions while Marlon Mack leads Indy in rushing with 755 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns. T.Y. Hilton leads Indianapolis’ receiving group with 67 catches for 1,071 yards and 6 touchdowns while Eric Ebron has 59 receptions for 662 yards and a team-high 12 touchdowns this season. Defensively, Denico Autry leads the Colts with 9 sacks while Darius Leonard has 7 sacks and a team-high 99 tackles this season. New York is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall while the under is 11-5 in their last 16 games against a team with a winning record. Indianapolis is 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 32-14-1 ATS in their last 47 games against a team with a losing record while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games following a win. The road game is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.

I took the Giants and went against Indianapolis last week, and got burned on both, so I’m a bit hesitant with this game. However, even though the Colts buried the Cowboys, I can’t help but feel like the Colts are going to be cautious in this game. Indy has put themselves in a prime spot in the wild card race and will simply be looking to come out of this game with a win as a victory would almost seal a playoff spot. New York on the other hand is pretty much done after losing to Tennessee last week, so the Giants have nothing to lose in this one. I also expect the Giants to have a better outing as the elements played a huge role in why the G-Men were held off of the scoreboard and a dome environment will be much kinder to the Giants here. All of New York’s road games this season have ended in an outright win or a loss of 7 points or less, so given the Giants’ outstanding track record on the road this season, I’ll take a shot with New York and the points.
