10. Derek Carr - 513 Yards
Derek Carr is tied for 10th on his list for his performance in 2016 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It took overtime but the Raiders were able to come away with a victory.
10. Phil Simms - 513 Yards
Phil Simms also threw for 513 yards in 1985 against the Cincinnati Bengals. After only scoring three points in the first half, the Giants put up 27 points in the second half, but that wasn’t enough to come away with a victory as they fell 35-30.
8. Tom Brady - 517 Yards
Future Hall of Fame Tom Brady checks int the list tied for eighth having thrown for 517 yards in 2011 against the Miami Dolphins. Brady also threw four touchdowns and had a passer rating of 121.6.
8. Jared Goff - 517 Yards
The most recent performance on this list includes Jared Goff and it took place on September 29th, 2019. Goff threw for 517 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw three interceptions and the Rams lost by 15 points.
7. Matthew Stafford - 520 Yards
Matthew Stafford has thrown for a lot of yards in his career without a lot of team success. In 2012 against the Green Bay Packers Stafford threw for 520 yards and led the Lions to 41 points. Detroit’s defense didn’t show up though, and they were beaten by the Packers by four points.

In 1988 Dan Marino had one of the best passing games of his career against the New York Jets throwing for 512 yards and three touchdowns. Marino also threw the ball to the Jets five times.

Boomer Esiason only played one year with the Arizona Cardinals but that was enough for him to come in at four on this list. In 1996 against the Washington Redskins, Esiason threw for 522 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions.

In 2014 against the Indianapolis Colts, Big Ben threw for 522 yards. The Steelers put up 51 points and cruised to an easy victory.
2. Matt Schaub - 527 Yards
Matt Schaub had ups and downs during his career, but he is tied for second on this list. In 2012 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Schaub threw for 527 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions.
2. Warren Moon - 527 Yards
In 1990 against the Kansas City Chiefs Warren Moon led the Houston Oilers to a victory, throwing for 527 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Haywood Jeffires was the top receiver hauling in 245 yards and a touchdown.
1. Norm Van Brocklin - 554 yards
All the way back in 1951, Norm Van Brocklin set the NFL record throwing for 554 yards against the New York Yanks. The Los Angeles Rams put up 54 points including 21 in the opening quarter.
