The Los Angeles Chargers and Tennessee Titans meet Monday in a Madden20 Simulation Game.
The Los Angeles Chargers are a really underrated team in the Madden game, as they have 11 different players ranked 81 or better overall. Wide receiver Keenan Allen, defensive end Joey Bosa and cornerback Casey Hayward are the highest rated players in the 90s, while defensive end Melvin Ingram and safety Derwin James come in at 88. The Chargers have a relentless pass rush in this game and a strong front seven overall that limits big plays and forces the opposing offense to really work. Quarterback Philip Rivers is rated 84 overall and has an 88 awareness rating, so he’s not fooled often by what the defense is trying to do. The Los Angeles Chargers have a lot to offer in Madden and are a balanced team that you can make money on during these simulations.
The Tennessee Titans have four players ranked 86 or better overall in safety Kevin Byard, running back Derrick Henry, cornerback Logan Ryan and tight end Delanie Walker. Just like in real life, the Titans are a physical team in the trenches and relies on a power running game behind the highly rated offensive linemen Rodger Saffold and Taylor Lewan. If the opposing defense doesn’t hav a strong front seven, the Titans are going to control the clock and run the ball to victory. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill comes in at 80 overall and is a solid 81 speed and 86 acceleration, so he can make plays with his legs and give the defense something else to think about. The Tennessee Titans may not be the sexiest team in Madden, but they have an identity and are extremely good at the style they play with.
The Los Angeles Chargers have the front seven needed to control the Titans ground game, and their defensive ends can get off blocks and make plays in the backfield. The Chargers are also more explosive offensively, so if the defense gets stops, they can create some distance in this contest and possibly steal a victory. The Tennessee Titans are the more physical bunch and are hard to bet against given their old school style, but we're getting free points with the team that can score quickly and probably has a little more balance to its attack. I want the Chargers in the underdog role.
