The Dallas Cowboys and the Arizona Cardinals meet in a Madden 20 NFL simulation game on Saturday afternoon.
The Dallas Cowboys will look to pick up some steam after a 20-16 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers last time out to get them to a 4-2 record in the simulation games. Zeke Elliott leads the Dallas offense with a 93 overall rating with 90 speed, 91 acceleration and 95 agility while Amari Cooper leads the Cowboys’ receivers with at 91 overall including 92 speed, 96 agility and 89 catching. Dak Prescott has an 81 overall rating at QB with 87 throwing power and 88 short pass accuracy. The Cowboys also have some power in the form of O-linemen, with Zack Martin logging a team-high 97 overall rating while Tyron Smith is at left tackle at 91 overall. On defense, Byron Jones and Demarcus Lawrence lead the Cowboys’ defense at 88 overall apiece, with Lawrence having a 93 finesse move rating, 89 power move and 88 block shedding rating while Jones has 92 speed, 94 acceleration and 96 agility to go along with an 84 man coverage rating and 90 zone coverage rating in the Dallas secondary.
The Arizona Cardinals will look to build off of their first simulation win, coming in the form of a 37-31 OT win over the Rams on Friday. Larry Fitzgerald leads Arizona’s offense with an 83 overall rating at wideout with 93 catching and 91 catching in traffic while Kenyan Drake is at 81 overall in the Arizona backfield with 91 speed, 89 acceleration, 90 agility and 87 carrying ratings. Kyler Murray comes in at 75 overall as Arizona’s starting quarterback with 91 speed, 92 acceleration and 90 agility as well as 89 throwing power. Defensively, Chandler Jones leads the Cards with a 90 overall rating, including 92 power move and 86 tackling while Patrick Peterson is at 92 overall with 92 speed, 92 acceleration, 95 agility and 89 man coverage at corner.
This game is surprisingly hard to call as the Cowboys are the better team with the higher-rated players, but this is a lot of points to give up in a simulation game and the Cardinals battled the Rams on Friday, winning in OT. I don’t feel good about it, but I’ll lay the points with the Cowboys. Dallas in these sim games has done a good job of really taking it to the lesser teams, including a 51-10 win over a Giants team that’s already beaten Arizona just a few days ago. Arizona looked good against the Rams, but I don’t think very highly of the Rams to being with if we’re being honest. I’ll lay the points with Dallas here.
