The New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers meet in a Madden 20 NFL simulation game on Monday night.
The New England Patriots will look to build off of a 22-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in their last simulation game. Tom Brady still leads the Patriots’ offense at 91 overall with 90 throw power and 96 short pass accuracy while Julian Edelman is the top rated receiver for the Pats at 87 overall with 91 acceleration, 91 agility and 85 catching. James White leads the New England backfield at 83 overall with 89 speed, 92 acceleration and 90 agility. On the defensive end, Stephon Gilmore leads the Patriots with a 98 overall rating with 99 awareness and 92 speed with 94 acceleration and 94 agility while also sitting at 98 in man coverage and 96 in zone coverage. Devin McCourty also holds a spot in the New England secondary at 92 overall with 93 zone coverage and 90+ marks in speed, agility and acceleration. Dont’a Hightower anchors the linebacking group at 88 overall with 91 impact blocking and 92 tackling as well as 93 play recognition and 93 pursuit.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will try to get back above .500 in simulation play after a 20-16 loss to Dallas last time out. JuJu Smith-Schuster leads the Steelers’ receivers with an 86 overall rating, including 91 speed and 92 acceleration as well as 90 catching and 93 catching in traffic and James Conner comes in with an 81 overall rating at running back with 86 speed, 89 acceleration and 89 carrying. Big Ben Roethlisberger is back under center with an 81 overall attribute rating with 89 throwing power and 89 short pass accuracy. Defensively, Cameron Heyward is the leader for the Steelers’ defense at 90 overall with 93 strength, 91 tackling and 92 power move while Stephon Tuitt is on the other side of the front at 87 overall with 90 block shedding and 91 strength.
Both of these two teams have been really hard to figure out, but while the Patriots have been winning games, they haven’t been winning them convincingly left and right like we’re used to seeing in reality. The Steelers have stepped it up against the bigger teams for the most part and the majority of these games are coin flips at best. I’ll take my shot with the Steelers and the points in this one.
