The Line: Tennessee Titans -7 -- O/U: 51.5
The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans meet in a Madden 20 NFL simulation game in AFC South division action on Tuesday afternoon.
The Jacksonville Jaguars will be out to bounce back from back-to-back sim losses after a 33-27 OT loss to the Buccaneers last time out. Leonard Fournette leads the jags offensively with an 83 overall rating with 92 speed and 96 carrying while D.J. Chark Jr. sits at 81 overall in the receiving corps with 91 catching as well. On defense for Jacksonville, each level of their defensive unit has an 84 overall rated player at the helm with A.J. Bouye leading the secondary, Telvin Smith in the linebacking corps and Yannick Ngakoue on the defensive line. Bouye owns an 89 speed rating with 94 acceleration and 91 agility while Smith has 87 speed with 89 acceleration and 88 agility.
The Tennessee Titans will look to rebound after falling back to 2-2 in simulation play after a 40-14 loss to the Rams last time out. Derrick Henry leads Tennessee at 91 overall with 91 speed, 87 strength, 91 carrying and 98 stiff arm while Delanie Walker sits at 86 overall at Tennessee’s top receiver and tight end with 86 catching. A.J. Brown and Corey Davis make up a solid pair at wide receiver at 80 and 79 overall respectively, while Ryan Tannehill comes in at 80 overall at QB for the Titans. Defensively, Kevin Byard shares the team-high at 91 overall with 93 zone coverage and 90 speed while Logan Ryan is at 86 overall at cornerback with 87 speed, 91 acceleration and 90 agility with 92 play recognition. Jurrell Casey also comes in at 85 overall at right defensive end with 92 play recognition, 89 tackling and 89 impact blocking as well as 92 strength.
I get the Titans being favored here, but the Titans didn’t look all that good against the Rams and there’s going to be snow in this game and I think that may muddy up the simulation a bit. Jacksonville isn’t great, just like in reality, but the Jags already beat the Titans once in a simulation just over a couple of weeks ago, and while I’m not sure they do it again here, I could see it being a 4-point game. I’ll take the Jaguars and the points in this one.
