The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles meet Friday afternoon in a Madden20 simulation game.
The Kansas City Chiefs are the defending Super Bowl champs and have six players ranked in the 90s overall. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is damn near a cheat code with his 99 rating overall, 97 awareness rating and 87 acceleration rating. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill has a 96 rating overall and his acceleration and speed ratings are 99, and he’s an easy touchdown once he gets off press coverage. Defensive end Frank Clark is a speedy pass rusher who gets to the pass rusher regularly and tight end Travis Kelce is a beast across the middle with his 96 rating. Like most teams that win the title, Madden shows love to a lot of the players and it’s been no different for the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Philadelphia Eagles have a lot to offer in the Madden world with four players ranked 90 or better overall. Those players include tight end Zach Ertz, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox and offensive linemen Brandon Brooks and Jason Kelce. Throw in Lane Johnson and Jason Peters, and the Eagles have possibly the best offensive line in the game, making things easy for running backs Josh Howard and Miles Sanders. Quarterback Carson Wentz also has a lot of time to throw the ball, and he’s decently rated at 83 overall, 83 awareness, 81 speed and 87 acceleration. We also can’t forget about wide receiver Desean Jackson, who has a 94 speed rating and 93 acceleration rating, making him one of the biggest x-factors in the game due to his game changing wheels. The Philadelphia Eagles are reliable in the trenches and that makes them a valuable team to back in computer simulations where it’s usually the little things that make a difference.
You're not going to find many spots in these simulations where the Kansas City Chiefs are underdogs, so this line isn't surprising. The problem is the Philadelphia Eagles are one of the more reliable teams in the game because of the talent along the offensive and defensive lines. The Eagles may not have done much last year in real life due to injuries, but all of those players are in this game, and they're highly rated. I get the explosiveness of the Chiefs and how quickly they can run away with things, but I want the points with the Eagles at home.
