The Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos meet Tuesday night in a Madden20 simulation game.
The Indianapolis Colts weren’t given many favors in this game rating wise, but they have a respectable offensive line with Quenton Nelson and his 94 rating as well as Anthony Castonzo and his 85 overall rating. There’s also some decent options on the outside in TY Hilton and Eric Ebron, both who are ranked in the high 80s overall. After that, things start to fall off a bit with the Colts and it’s hard to find players who can takeover a game. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett is ranked 72 overall and has an 84 acceleration rating, and his awareness rating is just 74 so he comes with boneheaded plays in these simulation games. The Colts are one of those teams that have to play at a high level for 60 minutes and the second they make mistake things can unravel rather quickly. Most people aren’t running to the sticks to play with the Colts in Madden20.
The Denver Broncos have an old school feel to their playing style, as they’re going to rely on their defense and ground game to produce victories. Linebacker Von Miller is the Broncos highest rated player at 96 and cornerback Chris Harris is the second highest rated player with a 90 overall. Running back Phillip Lindsay is the Broncos highest rated offensive player at an 85, and he’s going to be the workhorse for Denver to keep things competitive. The concern with the Broncos is that quarterback Drew Lock doesn’t get much respect from the folks at Madden with his 68 rating overall, but he does have decent speed at 83 and could make some plays with his feet at times. The Denver Broncos aren’t flashy, but they play disciplined ball and control the trenches, which could be key with the computer leading the way.
The Indianapolis Colts just aren't all that intriguing to me in this video game and the low awareness rating with Brissett makes him an accident waiting to happen. The Denver Broncos have two difference makers on the defensive side of the ball and a highly rated running back who can suck the life out of this game. The Broncos have an identity that they stick to and can win a lot of games in the virtual world with this roster.
I want the points with the Broncos in this contest.
