The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Denver Broncos meet in a Madden 20 NFL simulation game on Thursday night.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to build on their current three-game sim winning streak after a 24-16 win over Jacksonville last time out. JuJu Smith-Schuster leads Pittsburgh’s offense in the receiving group with an 86 overall rating, which includes a rating of 91 speed and 92 acceleration as well as 90 catching and 93 catching in traffic while James Conner is at running back with an 81 overall rating with 86 speed, 89 acceleration and 89 carrying. Ben Roethlisberger is at starting QB with an 81 overall rating with 89 throwing power and 89 short passing accuracy. Defensively, Cameron Heyward leads the Steelers at 90 overall with 93 strength, 91 tackling and 92 power move while Stephon Tuitt is on the other side of the front at 87 overall with 90 block shedding and 91 strength.
The Denver Broncos will look to build on a solid 37-30 win over Baltimore in their last outing. Phillip Lindsay leads the Broncos on the offensive end with an 85 overall rating at running back with 93 carrying as well as 93 speed and 91 acceleration. Courtland Sutton is right behind as Denver’s top wide receiver with 89 speed, 92 acceleration and 92 catching as part of his 84 overall rating. On the defensive end, Von Miller leads Denver with a team-high 96 overall rating, including 93 tackling, 89 impact blocking, 90 finesse move and 93 power move. Chris Harris Jr. is at defensive back at 90 overall with a 91 man coverage rating and 90 speed. Justin Simmons and Kareem Jackson make up a strong combination in the Denver secondary at 89 and 87 overall.
Denver and the points are tempting after the win over Baltimore, but I’m still not overly sold on the Broncos after one upset win as this team is struggling and a CPU game doesn’t give the Broncos the home field advantage that reality does. Pittsburgh’s been really good offensively for the most part in these sim games and side by side, I think the Steelers are just the better team. I’ll lay the points with Pittsburgh here.
