The New York Giants and the Buffalo Bills meet in a Madden 20 NFL simulation game on Friday afternoon.
The New York Giants will look to rebound from a 6th straight sim loss, coming in the form of a 39-13 loss to Seattle last time out. Saquon Barkley leads New York on offense with an 89 overall rating, with 92 speed, 93 acceleration, 96 agility, 94 carrying and 94 juke ratings. Evan Engram leads the Giants’ receiving group at tight end at 88 overall with 88 catching, 90 speed and 91 acceleration. Golden Tate III and Sterling Shepard make up a good tandem at wide receiver with each logging 90 speed and 91 acceleration with Tate III having 89 catching compared to Shepard’s 88. On defense, Leonard Williams is the only player rated over 80 overall on that side of the ball for the Giants.
The Buffalo Bills will look to build on a 51-49 win over Carolina last time out. Cole Beasley and John Brown lead the Bills’ offense at the two wide receiver spots, coming in at 83 overall, with Brown being the faster of the two in-game with 92 speed and 90 acceleration while Beasley is the more shifty receiver with 92 agility. Frank Gore and Devin Singletary are the top duo at RB for the Bills at 80 overall, while Josh Allen is at 77 overall as the Bills’ starting pivot. On defense, the secondary is Buffalo’s greatest asset with Micah Hyde and Tre’Davious White both at 88 overall, with White possessing 91 speed and 93 acceleration at cornerback while Hyde has a 91 zone coverage rating at free safety. Jordan Poyer is 85 overall at strong safety and Lorenzo Alexander is a decent 83 overall at one of the outside linebacker positions.
Both of these teams haven’t been great to back during these sim games, and the Bills haven’t been as good as they were in reality. However, the Giants have lost 6 straight sim games and have a 1-9 sim record. Even in a simulation, that’s enough of a sample size to suggest that outside of Barkley and Engram, the Giants are a joke of a football team. At least the Bills have shown signs of life and just hung 51 points on a pretty good Carolina team. Buffalo also gave up 49 points in that game, but they shouldn’t have too much trouble against the G-Men here. I’ll lay the points with Buffalo in this one.
