The Line: Baltimore Ravens -12 -- Over/Under: 45.5
The Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens meet Sunday afternoon in a Madden20 simulation game.
The Cincinnati Bengals have three players ranked 87 overall or higher in wide receiver AJ Green, defensive tackle Geno Atkins and running back joe Mixon. Throw in wide receiver Tyler Boyd who is an 83 overall and has a 92 acceleration rating, and the Bengals are a losing team in real life that actually is intriguing in the video game world. The obvious issue with the Bengals is quarterback Andy Dalton, who is 72 overall, and has a 73 awareness rating and a 75 speed rating. The Cincinnati Bengals have talent and are a surprisingly poor team you can win with in this game. However, in a computer simulation, you have to worry about Dalton and the questionable decisions he’s going to make with a low awareness rating.
The Baltimore Ravens have five played ranked 91 overall or better, including safety Earl Thomas, left tackle Ronnie Stanley, quarterback Lamar Jackson, right guard Marshal Yanda and defensive tackle Michael Pierce. Not only do the Ravens have a stacked offensive line, but they have a quarterback who has a 96 speed rating and 96 acceleration rating, which makes him the modern Michael Vick and pretty much a cheat code in the video game world. Running back Mark Ingram is also tough to bring down and kicker Justin Tucker misses almost nothing with his 87 overall rating. The Baltimore Ravens may not have won the Super Bowl in real life, but they’re absolutely loaded in Madden and almost unfair to play with if you find yourself playing online.
The Baltimore Ravens have the cheat code in Lamar Jackson and are one of those teams that are hard to slowdown once they get rolling. However, the Cincinnati Bengals have more talent than you'd think the worst team in the league would have, and they're not that bad of an option in this video game. You can win playing with the Bengals. Also, I'm not a fan of laying double-digit chalk in these simulations. We've seen countless upsets and that includes double-digit dogs winning outright. You have a lot of faith in the computer to lay these sort of numbers.
Give me the Cincinnati Bengals and the points.
