The Line: Chicago Bears -10 -- O/U: 50.5
The Chicago Bears and the Cincinnati Bengals meet in a Madden 20 NFL simulation game on Thursday afternoon.
The Chicago Bears come into this sim look to rebound from back-to-back simulation losses after a 26-17 loss to Seattle in their last game. Allen Robinson II leads Chicago on offense with an 89 overall rating with 90 speed and 93 acceleration as well as 96 catching while Trey Burton is at 82 overall at tight end and Taylor Gabriel is on the outside at wide receiver with an 81 overall rating. Tarik Cohen leads the Bears’ ground attack at 78 overall while Mitch Trubisky is still Chicago’s starting QB at 73 overall. On defense, Khalil Mack leads Chicago with a stacked 98 overall rating, with 87 speed and 89 acceleration along with 94 tackling, 90 impact blocking, 91 block shedding, 91 finesse move and 95 power move. Eddie Jackson is rated 89 overall at free safety with a 94 grade in zone coverage and 90 acceleration while Kyle Fuller has 92 speed and acceleration at cornerback with 91 zone coverage and Akiem Hicks is at 88 overall at left defensive end with 91 block shedding and 89 power move.
The Cincinnati Bengals are still hunting for their first sim victory, sitting at 0-6 in sim play after a 40-10 loss to Pittsburgh in their last game. A.J. Green leads Cincinnati with a 90 overall rating at wide receiver, with 90 speed and 92 agility with 92 catching and 96 marks in catching in traffic and spectacular catch. Joe Mixon starts at running back for the Bengals with an 87 overall rating with 91 speed and 93 acceleration while Tyler Boyd is 83 overall at wide receiver. Andy Dalton is now a cowboy, but here, he’s the starting at QB for the Bengals, but only has a 72 overall rating at the position. On defense, Geno Atkins leads the Cincinnati’s front line at 88 overall with 90 strength, 89 impact blocking and 90 power move. Carlos Dunlap is also at 82 overall on the defensive line while William Jackson leads the secondary at 81 overall.
I’m not trying to back either of these teams right now, as Cincinnati just can’t do anything right and Chicago just is an average team in this game and barely scrapes by the teams they should beat. Instead, I’m going to side with the under. This just feels like a game where the first to 20 points wins and I wouldn’t even be surprised if neither side got there.
