The Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills meet in a Madden 20 NFL Sim Classic matchup on Wednesday afternoon.
The Miami Dolphins come into this one with a Sim Classic record of 0-1 after losing their opening game to New England in their last outing by a final score of 41-37. Devante Parker leads the offense for Miami with an 84 overall rating, including 91 speed and 91 acceleration while Albert Wilson is at 76 overall at another wide receiver spot with 91 speed and acceleration as well. Ryan Fitzpatrick is at starting quarterback for Miami, but only at a 74 overall rating. On the defense, three of Miami’s four 80+ rated overall players are all in the secondary, with Xavien Howard and Aqib Talib at 82 and 81 overall with Howard owning 92 speed and 92 acceleration while Talib has 91 acceleration and 91 agility. Reshad Jones is also at 82 overall at strong safety with 86 speed and 89 acceleration.
The Buffalo Bills will try to get in the win column after dropping their opening game with a 38-17 loss to the New York Jets in their last game. Cole Beasley and John Brown lead Buffalo’s offensive unit at the two wide receiver spots, coming in at 83 overall, with Brown being the quicker of the two in-game with 92 speed and 90 acceleration while Beasley is the more agile receiver with 92 agility. Frank Gore and Devin Singletary are the duo at RB for the Bills at 80 overall, while Josh Allen is at 77 overall as the Bills’ starting quarterback. On defense, the DBs are Buffalo’s greatest asset with Micah Hyde and Tre’Davious White both at 88 overall, with White possessing 91 speed and 93 acceleration at cornerback while Hyde has a 91 zone coverage rating at free safety. Jordan Poyer is 85 overall at strong safety and Lorenzo Alexander is a decent 83 overall at one of the outside linebacker positions.
I get Buffalo being favored, but anyone who has followed me during these sim games know how disappointing the Bills have been for me. Buffalo in these simulations are a far cry from the team that made the playoffs in reality. These games are a coin flip, but I just think that Miami is the team that’s easier to trust in this spot, especially if the offense shows up the way it did against New England. I’ll take my shot with Miami and the points here as well as sprinkle a little bit on the dolphins moneyline.
