The Line: Arizona Cardinals +7 -- Over/Under: 45.5
The Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals meet Saturday night in a Madden20 simulation game.
The Houston Texans have one of the best difference makers on both sides of the ball in wide receiver Deandre Hopkins (98 overall) and defensive end JJ Watt (97 overall). Both of those guys can takeover a game even in the virtual world and their awareness of 99 overall makes them reliable in games like this with the computer leading the way. The Texans also have a solid left tackle in Laremy Tunsil who is an 87 overall rating and a 91 awareness rating. Quarterback wise, the Texans have Deshaun Watson who has a 86 overall rating and an 88 acceleration rating, so he can kill defenses with his arm or legs. The x-factor for the Texans is wide receiver Will Fuller, who has a 95 speed rating and 93 acceleration rating, giving him the ability to take the top off a defense. Bottom line, the Texans are one of the more underrated teams in Madden20.
The Arizona Cardinals have their top-three ranked players on the defensive side of the ball in linebacker Chandler Jones (90 overall), cornerback Patrick Peterson (88 overall) and safety Budda Baker (84 overall). Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald brings in a 83 overall with an 86 acceleration rating. The real difference maker for the Cardinals is quarterback Kyler Murray, who may be just a 75 overall with a 69 awareness rating, but he brings in a 91 speed rating and 92 acceleration rating. The only quarterback faster than Murray in this video game is the Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson. Having that type of playmaker with the ball constantly in his hands is a game changer and a big play waiting to happen.
The Houston Texans are possibly my favorite team to play with personally because of the weapons on the offensive end and Watson being a dual-threat who is a nightmare if you know how to use him correctly. I have some bias toward the Texans in these simulations because of that. However, getting a full touchdown with the Arizona Cardinals has some value, as they have an explosive quarterback who can make some plays and an underrated wide receiving core. This has a feel of being a tight contest that's decided in the fourth quarter.
Give me the Cardinals and the free touchdown.
