The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens meet in a Madden 20 NFL Sim Classic matchup on Sunday afternoon.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to finish the group stage of the Sim Classic perfect after improving to 2-0 with a 52-14 whooping of Cincinnati last time out. JuJu Smith-Schuster leads Pittsburgh at wide receiver with an 86 overall rating, which includes a rating of 91 speed and 92 acceleration as well as 90 catching and 93 catching in traffic while James Conner is Pittsburgh’s top RB with an 81 overall rating with 86 speed, 89 acceleration and 89 carrying. Ben Roethlisberger is the starting QB with an 81 overall rating with 89 throwing power and 89 short passing accuracy. On the defense, Cameron Heyward leads Pittsburgh rated at 90 overall with 93 strength, 91 tackling and 92 power move while Stephon Tuitt is on the other side of the front at 87 overall with 90 block shedding and 91 strength.
The Baltimore Ravens will also try to finish at 3-0 with a 30-24 win over Cleveland last time out. Lamar Jackson leads the Ravens’ offense at QB with a 92 overall rating, with 92 throw power and 92 short pass accuracy to go along with 96 speed, 96 acceleration and 95 agility. Mark Ingram II comes in at 86 overall as Baltimore’s top running back with 88 speed, 91 acceleration and 89 carrying while Mark Andrews is not far behind at tight end with an 85 overall rating. On the defensive end, Earl Thomas III leads the Ravens with a team-high 93 overall rating, including 92 jumping and 96 zone coverage at free safety and Michael Pierce is a solid 91 overall on the defensive line with 94 block shedding and 90 impact blocking while Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters put together a strong cornerback duo at 89 and 85 overall for Baltimore. Humphrey possesses a 90 man coverage rating as well as 92 speed and 93 acceleration while Peters has 87 man coverage, 91 speed and 91 acceleration.
These Sim Classic matchups don’t take into consideration who’s fighting to win the group in the tournament. With that said, the two sides split the two meetings since we started covering the sims here, and Pittsburgh’s 17-point win was a lot more convincing than Baltimore’s 6-point W. Side-by-side, I like the value of Pittsburgh and the points here, so I’ll take the Steelers and the free points here.
