The Jacksonville Jaguars come into this game looking to build off of a 30-27 overtime win over Tennessee last time out. Leonard Fournette leads Jacksonville on offense with an 83 overall rating with 92 speed and 96 carrying. D.J. Chark Jr. sits at 81 overall at wide receiver with 91 catching as well. On the defensive end for the Jags, each level of the defense has a player rated at 84 overall, with A.J. Bouye leading the secondary, Telvin Smith in the linebacking group and Yannick Ngakoue on the defensive line. Bouye owns an 89 speed rating with 94 acceleration and 91 agility while Smith has 87 speed with 89 acceleration and 88 agility.
The Indianapolis Colts will also look to advance after improving to 1-1 with a 36-30 win over Houston in their last game. T.Y. Hilton leads the Colts on offense with an 88 overall rating, with 93 speed as well as 95 agility and 91 acceleration. The Colts also have some strength up front with four offensive linemen with at least an 80 overall rating, led by Quenton Nelson who has a team-high 94 overall rating with a 99 awareness rating as well as 97 strength and 92 run blocking. On the defensive side, Justin Houston leads Indy at 86 overall, including a 93 mark in play recognition while Darius Leonard sits at one of the outside linebacker spots with an 85 overall rating including an 88 rating in tackling.
This whole division is win and you’re in, but the simulations don’t know that, so you just have to go about it like any other sim game. With that said, as much as I’ve ragged on the Colts, I just think Indianapolis has a better team than the Jaguars, especially when it comes to their ratings and when you take into consideration that the Colts won the lone simulation between the two sides, I think you have to lay the points with Indianapolis here.
