The Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears meet Sunday afternoon in a Madden20 simulation game.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of those teams that controls the trenches, as their top-four ranked players (David DeCastro, Cameron Heyward, Stephon Tuitt and Maurkice Pountey) are on the offensive or defensive line. The Steelers are also loaded with highly ranked players on the defensive side and that’s where they’re going to butter their bread in these simulations. The highest ranked skill position player for the Steelers is wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, who is rated 86 overall with a 91 speed rating and 92 acceleration rating. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is ranked 81 overall and has a strength rating of 82, so he’s tough to bring down even if the defense gets to him. The Pittsburgh Steelers are a physical bunch with an effective defense and are a strong team to play with in this version of Madden.
The Chicago Bears rely heavily on the defensive side of the ball, as six of their top-seven ranked players are defensive players. Linebacker Khalil Mack leads the Bears with 98 overall rating while Eddie Jackson and Kyle Fuller make for one of the better secondary’s in the game. Surprisingly, wide receiver Allen Robinson is the Bears second best rated player at a 89 overall. Overall, it’s hard to get behind the Chicago Bears who have a quarterback in Mitch Trubisky who has a rating of 73 overall, which is the same as their punter Pat O’Donnell. The Bears defense should keep them in games, but you really lack confidence if this team gets behind early and has to rely on throwing the ball to get back in it.
The fact this line is a pick em makes me consider the Chicago Bears in this spot. Maybe the oddsmakers know something we don't. With that said, the Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the more balanced teams in this game with an aggressive and playmaking defense, while the offense has some guys who can stretch the field and make for an explosive day. The Chicago Bears can grind games out ugly, but they don't have the horses offensively to get back into a game if they get down early.
In a true pick em, give me the better team in the Steelers.
