The Line: Dallas Cowboys -10 -- O/U: 55.5
The Dallas Cowboys and the Oakland Raiders meet in a Madden 20 NFL simulation game on Tuesday night.
The Dallas Cowboys come into this one after a modest performance in the Sim Classic, finishing at 1-2 but advancing to the playoffs with a tiebreaker win. The stay in the tournament was brief as Dallas was knocked out by San Francisco in the quarterfinals. Ezekiel Elliott leads Dallas on offense, rated 93 overall at RB with 90 speed, 91 acceleration and 95 agility while Amari Cooper leads the Cowboys’ receivers at 91 overall with 92 speed, 96 agility and 89 catching. Dak Prescott has an 81 overall rating as starting QB with 87 throwing power and 88 short pass accuracy. The Cowboys also have some size on their offensive line, with Zack Martin sporting a team-high 97 overall rating while Tyron Smith is at left tackle at 91 overall. On the defensive end, Byron Jones and Demarcus Lawrence lead the Cowboys, each at 88 overall apiece, with Lawrence owning a 93 finesse move rating, 89 power move and 88 block shedding rating while Jones has 92 speed, 94 acceleration and 96 agility to go along with an 84 man coverage rating and 90 zone coverage rating in the Cowboys’ secondary.
The Oakland Raiders come into this one looking to rebound from a frustrating Sim Classic where the Raiders went 1-2, with each of their three group stage games being decided by a field goal. The Raiders’ greatest asset lies on the O-line with Rodney Hudson at 93 overall, Richie Incognito at 87 overall and Trent Brown at 86 overall. Josh Jacobs and Darren Waller each have 85 overall ratings, with Jacobs owning 96 carrying and 91 acceleration at running back while Waller has 89 speed, 89 acceleration and 96 catching at tight end. Tyrell Williams is the Raiders’ top wide receiver at 82 overall with 92 speed, 93 acceleration and 95 agility while Derek Carr is still the Raiders’ starting quarterback with an 80 overall rating. On defense, Lamarcus Joyner comes in with an 83 overall rating, including 88 speed and 92 acceleration, but after Joyner, every defender on the Raiders owns a 79 overall rating or lower.
I’ve gone back and forth on this game, as Dallas is capable of a blowout, but we’ve also seen the Cowboys take their proverbial foot off of the gas and lose games they have no right losing. On the other hand, the Raiders are capable of putting a scare in anyone, but we’ve also seen the Raiders nod off and get beat up on. With that said, I’m going to side with the over. Both teams are capable of putting points on the board and I could easily see both sides breaking 30 points apiece here. Give me the over.
