The San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens meet Wednesday night in a Madden20 NFL simulation game.
The San Francisco 49ers have 10 different players who are ranked 85 overall or better. Tight end George Kittle leads the charge with a 97 overall rating and cornerback Richard Sherman has a 94 overall rating. Defensive end Nick Bosa, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and left tackle Joe Staley all have 89 ratings. The San Francisco 49ers are obviously one of the more balanced and highest rated teams in the game and have very little weakness. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has an 84 rating and an above-average acceleration to avoid pressure. On either side of the ball, you have to like the 49ers to show up and put together a consistent performance no matter who they play.
The Baltimore Ravens have five players ranked 91 overall or better, including safety Earl Thomas, left tackle Ronnie Stanley, quarterback Lamar Jackson, right guard Marshal Yanda and defensive tackle Michael Pierce. Not only do the Ravens have a stacked offensive line, but they have a quarterback who has a 96 speed rating and 96 acceleration rating, which makes him the modern Michael Vick and pretty much a cheat code in the video game world. Running back Mark Ingram is also tough to bring down and kicker Justin Tucker misses almost nothing with his 87 overall rating. The Baltimore Ravens may not have won the Super Bowl in real life, but they’re absolutely loaded in Madden and almost unfair to play with if you find yourself playing online.
This should be a hell of a simulation game between two teams with similar styles and top rated defenses that make life hell for the opposing offense. The difference here is that the Baltimore Ravens have Lamar Jackson at quarterback, a cheat code in the video game world and somebody capable of taking over a game with his speed and acceleration ratings. Jackson is the modern day Michael Vick in Madden, as you can run for days and do things you can't do with any other player.
Fun game that's closer to a toss up, but I'll lay the points with the Ravens.
