The Line: Jacksonville Jaguars -4.5 -- O/U: 51
The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Cincinnati Bengals meet in a Madden 20 NFL simulation game on Wednesday afternoon.
The Jacksonville Jaguars will be looking to bounce back from a 41-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in their last sim appearance. Leonard Fournette leads the Jags on offense with an 83 overall rating with 92 speed and 96 carrying while D.J. Chark Jr. sits at 81 overall at WR with 91 catching as well. On the defensive end for the Jaguars, each level of the defense has a player rated at 84 overall, with A.J. Bouye leading the secondary, Telvin Smith in the linebacking group and Yannick Ngakoue on the defensive line. Bouye owns an 89 speed rating with 94 acceleration and 91 agility while Smith has 87 speed with 89 acceleration and 88 agility.
The Cincinnati Bengals will be looking to build on their first sim victory after a 36-27 win over Oakland last time out. A.J. Green leads Cincinnati with a 90 overall rating at receiver, with 90 speed and 92 agility with 92 catching and 96 marks in catching in traffic and spectacular catch. Joe Mixon starts in the backfield for Cincinnati with an 87 overall rating with 91 speed and 93 acceleration while Tyler Boyd is 83 overall at wide receiver. Andy Dalton is now a Dallas Cowboy, but in this game, he’s the starting at quarterback for the Bengals, but only has a 72 overall rating at the position. On the defensive end, Geno Atkins leads the front line for Cincy at 88 overall with 90 strength, 89 impact blocking and 90 power moves. Carlos Dunlap is also at 82 overall on the defensive line while William Jackson leads the secondary at 81 overall.
I’ve been as hard on Cincinnati as anyone over the course of covering these sim games, but it’s easy to be hard when the Bengals lose every game before the last one and this is a winnable game for the Bengals as the Jaguars just aren’t that good. Maybe now that the Bengals have picked up the win it’ll carry over here for this one. I think this just boils down to my not wanting to lay points with Jacksonville, so I’ll take Cincinnati and the points here.
