The New Orleans Saints and the Pittsburgh Steelers meet in a Madden 20 NFL simulation game on Wednesday night.
The New Orleans Saints come into this game looking to build off of a 33-27 win over Baltimore in their last sim game. Michael Thomas is one of this year’s five heralded 99 overall rated players, with 89 speed, 92 acceleration and 92 agility as well as 99 catching, 98 catching in traffic and 97 spectacular catch with 96 release and 93 jumping. Drew Brees comes in as the starting pivot for New Orleans at 94 overall with 99 short pass accuracy, 97 medium pass accuracy and 91 deep ball accuracy and Alvin Kamara leads the Saints at RB with an 89 overall rating, including 94 acceleration, 93 agility, 90 carrying and 90 juke while Jared Cook is at 87 overall with 90 acceleration and 85 catching. On defense, Cameron Jordan leads the Saints’ defensive front at 92 overall with 92 impact blocking, 89 tackling and 94 finesse move. Demario Davis is at 89 overall at outside linebacker with 90 play recognition and 90 pursuit as well as 86 speed and 89 acceleration. Marcus Williams and Marshon Lattimore also make up a big chunk of the New Orleans secondary at 86 and 85 overall.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will try to bounce back from a 26-24 loss to Chicago last time out. JuJu Smith-Schuster leads Pittsburgh on the offensive side of the ball at receiver with an 86 overall rating, which includes a rating of 91 speed and 92 acceleration as well as 90 catching and 93 catching in traffic while James Conner is Pittsburgh’s top running back with an 81 overall rating with 86 speed, 89 acceleration and 89 carrying. Ben Roethlisberger is the starting QB with an 81 overall rating with 89 throwing power and 89 short passing accuracy. On the defense, Cameron Heyward leads the Steelers rated at 90 overall with 93 strength, 91 tackling and 92 power move while Stephon Tuitt is on the other side of the front at 87 overall with 90 block shedding and 91 strength.
The points with the Steelers are tempting as Pittsburgh’s been playing pretty well lately, but Pittsburgh also stumbled against Chicago and the Bears aren’t a team I’m necessarily high on. New Orleans is one of the toughest teams in the game and are loaded offensively and are deceivingly good on defense as well. I’ll lay the points with New Orleans in a game I see the Saints winning by a touchdown.
