The Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets meet in a Madden 20 NFL simulation game on Friday afternoon.
The Cleveland Browns will look to rebound from a 38-13 loss to Dallas last time out. Nick Chubb leads the Browns on offense with a 92 overall rating, with 92 speed, 91 acceleration and 85 strength grades. Odell Beckham Jr. is the #1 wide receiver on the depth chart for the Browns, rated at 90 overall with a 99 rated spectacular catch as well as 91 in catching in traffic and a 98 mark in ball carrier vision while also having 94 ratings in speed and acceleration and 98 agility. Kareem Hunt is rated 88 overall at running back, with 90 speed and 92 acceleration and 92 agility along with a 98 carrying rating while Baker Mayfield is rated at 76 overall as Cleveland’s starting quarterback, including 93 throwing power, 87 short pass accuracy and 85 long ball accuracy. On the defensive side of the ball, Myles Garrett is the leader with a team-high 93 overall rating at defensive end, with 85 speed, 90 acceleration and 96 strength as well as a 95 power move rating.
The New York Jets will try to rebound from a 48-27 loss to the New York Giants in their last game. Le’Veon Bell leads the Jets on offense with an 88 overall rating, including 89 speed, 92 acceleration and 95 agility as well as 88 carrying and 91 juke. Robby Anderson leads the receivers for New York at 84 overall with 91 catching while Sam Darnold is rated 74 overall as the Jets’ starting pivot. Defensively, Jamal Adams leads the Jets with a 92 overall grade, with 95 power and 92 zone coverage as well as 91 speed and 90 acceleration. The Jets also possess a pair of 85 overall rated middle linebackers in C.J. Mosley and Avery Williamson, with both having 89 acceleration and Mosley having 91 tackling while Williamson has 86 block shedding.
Both of these teams have gone through disappointing losses lately, with the Browns getting beat up by Dallas while the Jets were abused by the lowly Giants. One thing is for sure though between the two sides and that is that the game loves these two teams although the results weren’t there in reality as both sides have had the ability to put up 30+ points against most of their opposition. Instead of trying to pick a side, I’m going to side with the over as I could see this being a 31-28 or 34-28 type of game.
