The Oakland Raiders and the Miami Dolphins meet in a Madden 20 NFL simulation game on Saturday afternoon.
The Oakland Raiders come into this one looking to rebound from a 41-23 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in their last sim appearance. The Raiders have some beef on the offensive line with Rodney Hudson at 93 overall, Richie Incognito at 87 overall and Trent Brown at 86 overall. Josh Jacobs and Darren Waller each have 85 overall ratings, with Jacobs owning 96 carrying and 91 acceleration at running back while Waller has 89 speed, 89 acceleration and 96 catching at tight end. Tyrell Williams is Oakland’s top wide receiver at 82 overall with 92 speed, 93 acceleration and 95 agility. Derek Carr remains the Raiders’ starting QB with an 80 overall rating. On the defensive end, Lamarcus Joyner comes in with an 83 overall rating, including 88 speed and 92 acceleration, but after Joyner, every defender on the Raiders owns a 79 overall rating or lower.
The Miami Dolphins will try to rebound from a 37-14 loss to Washington last time out. Devante Parker Miami with an 84 overall rating, including 91 speed and 91 acceleration while Albert Wilson is at 76 overall at another wide receiver spot with 91 speed and acceleration as well. Ryan is at starting QB for Miami, but only at a 74 overall rating. On the defensive end, three of Miami’s four 80+ rated overall players are all in the secondary, with Xavien Howard and Aqib Talib at 82 and 81 overall with Howard owning 92 speed and 92 acceleration while Talib has 91 acceleration and 91 agility. Reshad Jones is also at 82 overall at strong safety with 86 speed and 89 acceleration.
My reasoning in this game is pretty much the same reason why I faded Miami against Washington. You have two teams in the Raiders and Dolphins that just have trouble winning games, but between two teams that are struggling, I want the team that’s scoring points more regularly. Oakland’s been losing to better teams, but they’re putting up 25-30 points more often than not. Not only are the Dolphins losing, they’re losing to lesser teams and giving up a lot of points while doing it and not scoring nearly enough to keep pace. I’ll lay the points with the Raiders here.
