The Line: Arizona Cardinals -3.5 -- O/U: 53
The Arizona Cardinals and the New York Giants meet in a Madden 20 NFL simulation game on Sunday afternoon.
The Arizona Cardinals will try to rebound from a 29-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in their last sim matchup. Larry Fitzgerald leads the Cardinals’ offense at 83 overall at wide receiver with a 93 catch rating and 91 catching in traffic while Kenyan Drake sits at 81 overall in the Arizona’s backfield with 91 speed, 89 acceleration, 90 agility and 87 carrying grades. Kyler Murray is Arizona’s starting quarterback at 75 overall with 91 speed, 92 acceleration and 90 agility as well as 89 throwing power. On defense, Chandler Jones leads the Cards with a 90 overall rating, including 92 power move and an 86 tackle rating while Patrick Peterson is at 92 overall with 92 speed, 92 acceleration, 95 agility and 89 man coverage at cornerback.
The New York Giants will try to bounce back from a 29-19 loss to Chicago in their last sim appearance. Saquon Barkley leads the G-Men on offense with an 89 overall rating, with 92 speed, 93 acceleration, 96 agility, 94 carrying and 94 juke ratings. Evan Engram leads New York’s receiving group at tight end at 88 overall with 88 catching, 90 speed and 91 acceleration. Golden Tate III and Sterling Shepard make up a good tandem at wide receiver with each logging 90 speed and 91 acceleration with Tate III having 89 catching compared to Shepard’s 88. On defense, Leonard Williams is the only player rated 80+ overall on that side of the ball for the Giants.
I like a dog as much as the next guy, but not when that dog is the New York Giants. Sure, the G-Men have put together decent performances in these sim games here and there, but they’re still the Giants and I’m not trusting New York for much of anything outside of Saquon Barkley and Evan Engram. Arizona continues to play tight games, but the Cardinals have been beating and covering against the teams they should beat and I expect that to be no different here. I’ll lay the points with Arizona here.
