The Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles meet Wednesday afternoon in a Madden20 NFL simulation game.
The Oakland Raiders aren’t all that fun to play with in this game, as their highest rated player is their center in Rodney Hudson, who is a 93 overall rating with a 90 strength rating. Richie Incognito and Trent Brown are the Raiders next highest rated players, which makes for a strong offensive line but really thin on the difference makers. Running back Josh Jacobs is rated 85 overall with a 91 acceleration rating while tight end Darren Waller is rated 85 overall with an 89 speed rating. Quarterback Derek Carr is rated 80 overall with an 87 acceleration rating and Tyrell Williams is his top ranked receiver with an 82 overall rating and 95 agility rating. The Oakland Raiders have one of the better offensive lines in the game, but the defense can get gashed and the offense can struggle to produce the big play that really opens the game up.
The Philadelphia Eagles have a lot to offer in the Madden world with four players ranked 90 or better overall. Those players include tight end Zach Ertz, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox and offensive linemen Brandon Brooks and Jason Kelce. Throw in Lane Johnson and Jason Peters, and the Eagles have possibly the best offensive line in the game, making things easy for running backs Josh Howard and Miles Sanders. Quarterback Carson Wentz also has a lot of time to throw the ball, and he’s decently rated at 83 overall, 83 awareness, 81 speed and 87 acceleration. We also can’t forget about wide receiver Desean Jackson, who has a 94 speed rating and 93 acceleration rating, making him one of the biggest x-factors in the game due to his game changing wheels. The Philadelphia Eagles are reliable in the trenches and that makes them a valuable team to back in computer simulations where it’s usually the little things that make a difference.
The Philadelphia Eagles are as slid as they come in this game due to them having strong offensive and defensive lines, and their offense is better than it was in real life because players are actually healthy. The Oakland Raiders don't have much going for them in these simulations and their defense gets gashed more times than not. This feels like a complete mismatch.
I'll gladly lay the reasonable number with the Philadelphia Eagles.
