The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans meet Sunday in NFL action from LP Field.

Jacksonville enters this one at 1-0 on the young 2020 season, following a 27-20 victory at home over the Colts in Week 1. As for the Titans, they also fared well in their first action of the season. Tennessee recorded a win over the Broncos on Monday, a tight 16-14 affair on the road. Check back all season long for free NFL picks and NFL predictions at Sports Chat Place.

The Jaguars started out with a pretty tough matchup against their rival Colts in Week 1. Jacksonville was blanked in the first quarter, but caught up to within three at 17-14 by halftime. The Jaguars would go on to tie it up in the third and outscore Indianapolis 10-3 in the fourth quarter for a tense 27-20 victory.

Jacksonville quarterback Gardner Minshew had a really nice game in Week 1, going 19-of-20 for 173 yards and three touchdowns. James Robinson added 16 carries for 62 yards on the ground, and Keelan Cole led the receivers with five grabs for 47 yards and a TD.

Over on the Titans’ side, their Week 1 outing was a close escape as well. Tennessee’s defense kept the team within striking distance the whole game, and it was tied up 7-7 going into the fourth quarter. The Titans managed to outscore Denver 9-7 in that final frame to eke out a 16-14 win.

The offensive lines for Tennessee were pretty good in Week 1. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill posted 249 yards and two touchdowns, and Derrick Henry rumbled for 116 yards on 31 carries. Tops in receiving during the Titans victory was Corey Davis, who posted seven catches for 101 yards.

The Jaguars are 4-0 ATS in their last four games in September and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games after an ATS win. Jacksonville is 2-6 ATS in their last eight games as an underdog and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games in Week 2.

Meanwhile, the Titans are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games after a straight-up win and 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight games as a favorite. Tennessee is also 7-16-1 ATS in their last 24 home games versus a team with a winning road record and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

Pick: I like the Jaguars to cover in this one. The line for this game opened up pretty thick; Tennessee was favored by 11 points. It’s come down since then, as most people (myself included) think this will be a pretty competitive game. Tennessee has a lot of offensive weapons and a great defense, but I think Jacksonville is good enough to keep it reasonably close. The Titans are obviously the better bet for an outright win, however.
