The New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts meet Sunday in week 3 NFL action at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The New York Jets need a victory here to prevent a slow 0-3 start to the NFL season. The New York Jets have lost seven of their last nine road games. Sam Darnold is completing 62.7 percent of his passes for 394 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Darnold has one or less touchdown passes in five of his last seven games. Jamison Citemder and Chris Hogan have combined for 190 receiving yards and one touchdown while Braxton Berrios has six receptions. The New York Jets ground game is averaging 78 yards per contest, and Frank Gore leads the way with 87 yards on 27 carries. Defensively, New York is allowing 29 points and 381.5 yards per game. Marcus Maye leads the New York Jets with 17 tackles, Quinnen Williams has two sacks and Pierre Desir has one interception.

The Indianapolis Colts look for back-to-back victories to get a game above a .500 record. The Indianapolis Colts have won five of their last seven home games. Philip Rivers is completing 77.5 percent of his passes for 577 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. Rivers has one or less touchdown passes in seven of his last 11 games. Mo Alie-Cox and TY Hilton have combined for 212 receiving yards on 14 catches while Jonathan Taylor has eight receptions. The Indianapolis Colts ground game is averaging 119.5 yards per contest, and Taylor leads the way with 123 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Indianapolis is allowing 19 points and 208 yards per game. Darius Leonard leads the Indianapolis Colts with 16 tackles, Denico Autry has two sacks and Kenny Moore II has one interception.

The Jets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog, 2-6 ATS in their last 8 road games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Colts are 3-1-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in Week 3 and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The under is 5-1 in Jets last 6 games overall. The over is 7-3 in Colts last 10 games as a favorite. The Jets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings.

The New York Jets haven’t looked good through two games and just got blown out at home by a banged up 49ers team. It won’t get any better for the Jets who enter this week as the most injured team in the league and will be without several key players. The Indianapolis Colts bounced back nicely with an impressive win over the Vikings, and they currently have one of the top defenses in the NFL. I want nothing to do with the banged up Jets and Adam Gase as head coach. It’s the Colts in a blowout or pass for me.
