The San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants meet Sunday in week 3 NFL action at MetLife Stadium.

The San Francisco 49ers look for another road victory to get a game above a .500 record. The San Francisco 49ers have won eight of their last nine road games. The 49ers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 1-4-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. The Giants are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games in September, 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 home games and 1-11 ATS in their last 12 games as a home underdog. The over is 8-3-1 in 49ers last 12 vs. NFC. The over is 4-1 in Giants last 5 games overall. The underdog is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings.

The New York Giants weren't a good football team to begin with entering the season and the loss of star running back Saquon Barkley doesn't improve things. The San Francisco 49ers are clearly the better team, but they're dealing with injury issues of their own, as defensive end Nick Bosa is out for the year, and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and tight end George Kittle are questionable with injuries of their own. I can't get behind either of these teams with much confidence given the injuries to key players, but I'd have to lean the Giants at home and the free points. I'm not laying chalk with a road team that could be without three of its best players.

Give me the Giants and the points.
