The Cleveland Browns and the Dallas Cowboys meet in a week 4 NFL matchup from AT&T Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Cleveland Browns will look to build on their 2-1 start after a 34-20 win over the Washington Football Team in their last outing. Baker Mayfield has thrown for 564 yards, 5 touchdowns and 2 interceptions on 62.4% passing while Nick Chubb leads the Browns with 292 rushing yards and 4 TDs with Kareem Hunt not far off with 204 rushing yards and a score. Odell Beckham Jr. has 11 catches for 155 yards and a touchdown while Jarvis Landry has a team-high 12 grabs for 143 yards. Defensively, B.J. Goodson has a team-high 15 solo tackles as part of his 20 total tackles while Myles Garrett has a team-high 3 sacks and Sheldon Richardson and Adrian Clayborn each have a pair of sacks for Cleveland this season.
The Dallas Cowboys are in need of a win to get back to .500 after falling to 1-2 with a 38-31 loss to the Seattle Seahawks last time out. Dak Prescott has thrown for 1,188 yards, 5 touchdowns and 2 interceptions on 67.1% passing while Ezekiel Elliott has 219 rushing yards with 3 touchdowns. Prescott also has 3 rushing scores as well while Amari Cooped leads the Cowboys with 25 catches on a team-high 36 targets for 267 receiving yards. Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb each have 200+ receiving yards for the Cowboys as well this season. Defensively, Jaylon Smith leads the Cowboys with 32 total tackles including a team-high 17 solo tackles while Aldon Smith has a team-high 4 sacks.
Cleveland is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 0-7 ATS in their last 7 road games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games as an underdog. Dallas is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games following a loss. The under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings between these two teams.
To be honest, this is probably a game I’d rather just watch than bet, I’ll say that right out of the gate. However, with that said, the Cowboys have found themselves in a lot of tight games and are fortunate that they’re not 0-3 right now. Say what you want about Cleveland, that Baker Mayfield is a terrible QB and that the Browns could disappoint once again, but they’ve also gotten out to a decent start this year, albeit not against strong competition, and it’s not like the Cowboys are world-beaters. Side by side, the offenses matchup evenly, but on defense, the Browns are probably the healthier and more cohesive unit. If forced to pick, I’d take a shot with Cleveland and the points, but I’m not rushing to bet this one.
